7 days in Japan travel itinerary, Takayama to Osaka: This is our first post about Japan travel itinerary. This plan we created by our experience during we travelling through these city. So, we need to share our experience to everyone that planning to travel in Japan. And we hope that this itinerary could be useful for your travel itinerary.
Day 1; Takayama
We start from Nagoya and then go to Takayama. We stayed in this city for the first night. Downtown sightseeing is our first activity in this city.
Day 2; Takayama to Shirakawago
We went to Shirakawago (one day trip) for more information about Shirakawago check out this:Guide to Shirakawago, most beautiful traditional villages in Japan. After that, go back to hotel in Takayama.
Day 3; Takayama to Kyoto
Heading to Kyoto. Due to a lot of interesting attraction in this city, then we decided to stay in this city for 2 nights. First of all, the easiest ways for travelling in this city, we recommend you to buy Kyoto City buses (1 day bus pass). We used this card for travelling to attractions as below:
- Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine

- Nijo Castle
- Toei Kyoto Studio Park
- Kyoto Tower
Day 4; Kyoto
We are continuous traveling in Kyoto. The following are attractions for today.
- Ginkakuji Temple
- PhiloSopher's Path (Path of PhiloSophy)
- Nansenji Temple
- Heian Shrine (Heian-jingu Shrine)
- Kiyomizudera Temple
- Yasaka Shrine
- Maruyama Park
- Gion
Day 5; Kyoto to Osaka
Heading to Osaka. Here we recommend you to buy Kansai Thru pass. This card includes subway, train and bus which are cover service areas of Osaka, Koyto, Nara, Kobe, Wakayama and Koyasan. For the attractions as follows:
- Osaka Castle
- Osaka Castle Park
- Sukura alone Okawa river
Day 6; Osaka
We spent whole day with Universal Studio. And next, we went to shopping at Umeda Underground before getting back.
Day 7; Osaka to Nara, Nara to Kobe
This is a last day for my plan. We went to Nara in morning.
